AHA’s video-based, classroom Family & Friends® CPR Course teaches adult Hands-Only™ CPR, adult AED use, child CPR andAED use, and infant CPR. It also teaches how to relieve choking in an adult, child or infant.The course offers training for those who want to learn CPR and do not require a course completion card.

HeartCode® BLS, HeartSaver (Online Student Product For Blended Learning)

After successfully completing the Heartsaver CPR AED course or the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course, students should be able to:

list the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of the first aid rescuer
describe the key steps in first aid
describe the assessment of and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke

This video-based, Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings. What does this class cover?

The BLS Healthcare Provider course content includes one and two-person CPR, techniques for relief of choking, use of airway barrier devices, bag-mask ventilation and an AED.

Who should take this class?

This course is designed for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, nurses, physicians, dentists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and others who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

How long is the class?

The initial BLS Provider Course is a 4-hour class. The 3-hour Renewal course offers a course review and updates for experienced BLS Provider
